We are looking for an Associate Media Director.

Position summary:

The Associate Media Director supports and contributes to the multimedia planning and buying executed by the media department. Successful Associate Media Directors are experts in both digital solutions and legacy media to successfully connect consumers with client messages. This position collaborates with all departments including account planning, account and project managers, digital, traffic, accounting, and creative. 

Based in Denver (remote) or Anchorage (hybrid office/home model).

key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to execute and present multichannel media plans on time and on budget to Agency clients
  • Participate in Agency/team planning sessions regarding client strategy providing media POV to communications approach
  • Fluent in key implementation, measurement, and valuation techniques including reach and frequency, delivery, and campaign optimizations
  • Apply innovative thinking, data, and insights to inform media recommendations
  • Track media campaign effectiveness against established KPIs; presenting optimizations and recommendations to internal teams and clients
  • Serves as a key resource to the entire media team, providing significant support in media staff training, mentorship, and development
  • Oversee consistent reporting of competitive market/media information including insights which impact planning and buying approaches
  • Responsible for tracking media tools, research, and resources and collaborating with VP, Media Director on cost-effective, best-in-class solutions 
  • Develop processes for tactical media execution and stewardship
  • Monitor departments’ media buys to ensure they meet budgets and meet or exceed audience delivery expectations 
  • Actively support VP, Media Director and team in achieving Department and Agency goals 

Knowledge and skills:

  • Strong time management, solution oriented against deadlines
  • Knowledge of all media communications touchpoints (traditional, digital, public relations, social, lead generation, etc.)
  • Effective writing and speaking skills 
  • Proficient in media planning, buying, visualization, measurement tools (Strata, Nielsen, MRI, SQAD, etc.)
  • Experience defining and delivering against KPIs
  • Experience placing digital campaigns on self-serve platforms
  • Ability to navigate digital platforms and digital reporting tools
  • Macintosh operating system proficient
  • Microsoft Office expertise
  • Google Certifications and Facebook Blueprint certified a plus

education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Finance, or related field preferred 
  • 7+ years relevant client or agency-side experience working with brands and media
  • 3+ years management experience 
  • Vertical experience in telecom, tourism, adventure, and well-being categories a plus

SALARY RANGE:

  • $70,000 – $90,000, wage will be set based on seniority, geographic location, education, training and experience
