Hi, my name is Kaylee Devine & I am an Account Planner here at Spawn Ideas; this means I take on strategy for the Hooligan team.

Tell us about the journey that led you to join the Spawn Ideas team.

Eight years ago, after coming home to Alaska after college I accepted an internship at Spawn. I had an old friend who’d been an intern here and had great things to say. So I jumped at the chance to join the team.

What are you most proud of from your work here at Spawn?

It’s really hard to narrow down what I’m most proud of! There’s been so many amazing projects. One of the most memorable, and rewarding, however, was being a part of the team who crafted the strategy and final TV spot for a joint Apple and GCI message.

We were the first regional carrier in the country to get a co-branded spot with Apple. It enabled our regional client to go head-to-head with the national heavyweights like AT&T and Verizon. The value prop we crafted today has led to a series of GCI/Apple TV commercials

What is your idea of success?

My idea of success is having a career that’s challenging and fulfilling, while still having a life outside the office. Spawn enables me to be successful at both.

What’s the best advice you were ever given, and who was it from?

“Always remember, there are two sides to every story” – from my mom. I use this simple, practical advice on a daily basis.

My job is all about considering the perspectives of others and helping to devise strategies that support those perspectives. It comes into play in every facet of my work life and personal life.

Finish the sentence My professional True North is___

Helping clients find the true benefit of their brand to a consumer.

With so many options at our fingertips, successful brands must solve a problem and help make lives of their customers easier. They must inspire rather than try and manipulate. I love helping them find what that benefit is – what they can rally around and be proud of.
